In the realm of Midendhil, a world brimming with originality, a vast array of magical creatures awaits exploration. These fantastical beings draw inspiration from ancient legends and folklore from diverse cultures, yet none find their origins in the literary mythologies of other novels. The bestiary of Midendhil has been meticulously crafted over years of study and continues to evolve with time.
Among this rich tapestry of mythical life, we encounter the Agane – ethereal entities of water. In the mythos of Midendhil, they are considered the lesser sisters of mermaids: instinctive and perilous beings. Inhabitants of the bends and curves of the Isara River, these creatures possess the remarkable ability to transmute, becoming transparent and ensnaring their unsuspecting prey in surprise. The Agane draw inspiration from the ancient legends of Northern Italy, where they are depicted as vengeful water fairies that, if disturbed, feast on humans. While myth often portrays them as feminine figures with inverted feet, I've chosen an appearance that best aligns with my creative vision for Midendhil. These small aquatic beings, much like the Finfinelle, can easily appear harmless to the unfortunate wanderer who stumbles into their watery domains.
The Agane embody the mystique and wonder that pervade the mythology of Midendhil. Each one of these imaginative creatures adds depth to the fantastical world I've been crafting, allowing readers to immerse themselves in a unique realm that is both inspired by the past and forged with originality.

In the magical realm of Midendhil, where enchantment and darkness intertwine, a chilling alliance unfolds between the Finfinelles, delicate beings who wield the power of deception and duality, and the nightmarish Mencans—the witches of the Nemeton Forest.
Drawing from ancient folklore, the Mencans embody the nightmare that haunts the deepest corners of our fears. In tales of old, they were the wicked witches who preyed on lost children, feasting on their innocence in the very forests they inhabited. In Midendhil, the Finfinelles play a sinister role, guiding victims to the lair of the Mencan, where threat and malevolence converge.
These sinister witches are creatures of the forest, composed of wood and foliage, and symbolize the indefinable evil that lurks in the shadows, extending far beyond the realm of the living. Rooted in the ancient Celtic culture, their name "Mencan" originates from "meacan," meaning roots—a fitting representation of their deep, entwined connection to the heart of the forest.
For our heroes, the threat of these witches will be a point of no return. A harrowing adventure that, as often happens in life, will lead to a positive turning point. An encounter that will forever change their destiny.
