Let’s have a reality check: No matter what Megyn Kelly stated on Fox News in December 2013 that “ Jesus was a white man, too” and that this was a “verifiable fact” just solidified the ignorance of the majority of the Christian population. Jesus was JEWISH!

Based on 1st-century Judean forensic anthropology, Jesus likely had olive-brown skin, dark hair, brown eyes, and a short, curly-haired appearance, rather than the fair-skinned, long-haired image common in Western art. He was likely about 5'5" tall, with a stocky build and a beard.

Key Historical Insights into Jesus' Appearance

Archaeological Evidence: Forensic reconstructions of 1st-century Galilean Jewish men suggest a face with a wide, dark-eyed, and sun-tanned appearance.
Physical Traits: Evidence suggests Jesus had dark brown to black hair, which he likely kept short (contrary to long-haired artistic depictions).

The New Testament does not provide a physical description of Jesus, which some scholars suggest indicates his appearance was deliberately mundane and did not stand out from other Jewish men.

Misconceptions: The traditional image of a tall, fair-skinned, long-haired man with blue eyes is a much later European artistic creation.

While the exact appearance is unknown, modern experts believe he would have looked like a typical Middle Eastern man of that era.
