Exploring Ottawa was a treat! We toured iconic landmarks like Parliament Hill, Canadian Museum of History, and Rideau Hall, indulged in a sweet Canadian beavertail at the ByWard Market, and learned about native plants at Madahoki Farm.

Dinner at Deacon Brodies Pub was delicious-Canadian and French burgers paired with local drinks hit the spot.

Toronto, you really showed off today! We kicked off with a sightseeing tour through the heart of the city—Legislature Building, vibrant cultural neighborhoods, and even a little window shopping at the iconic Eaton Centre. But the highlight? Lunch 1,151 feet in the sky at the CN Tower’s rotating 360 Restaurant. Incredible views, delicious food, and yes… we did stand on the glass floor 114 stories up (still recovering 😅).

And just when we thought the day couldn’t get better… we yook full advantage of our free time & capped off the night with a Broadway show! 🎭 Beetlejuice at the Mirvish Theatre brought all the laughs, chaos, and spooky charm. A perfect ending to a great day in Toronto!

Day 1 in Toronto 🇨🇦

The Historic Cities of Eastern Canada FAM with Globus is officially underway! We landed in Toronto after a quick 1hr 45min flight from Chicago and headed to The Westin Harbour Castle—perfect location right on the water (even if rush hour made the 17km ride feel longer 🫣).

We got settled, met our amazing group of 27 during the welcome cocktail reception, and had a delicious family-style dinner at Pearl—just a short walk from the hotel. Mom and I took the scenic route back and caught views like this 👇🏽

Excited for what tomorrow brings as we start exploring!
