Anita is one of the talented musicians performing tomorrow, keep reading to fine out more about her!

Described as "a world class musician" (Galena Gazette) who plays with “high energy and polish” (WQXR), cellist Anita Graef has earned recognition for her music making as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. Notable appearances include features in Strings Magazine, as well as Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert series, and “Concerts from the Library of Congress.” She has also performed in recital as a guest of various radio programs, including “Young Artists Showcase” on WQXR, WFMT, WGTE, WOSU and others. She directs and performs with the Juliani Ensemble, an innovative, multi-faceted chamber ensemble, with whom she has performed extensively both nationally and internationally. In 2021, she was announced as the recipient of the American Prize in Instrumental Performance. Highlights of 2021/2022 include performances at Columbia University, “Temecula Presents,” the 1901 Arts Club in London, the Speed Art Museum, the New Lens Concert Series, and a residency at the University of Missouri.

She completed her Bachelor’s studies at the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Following this, she obtained a Master’s Degree at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Mark your calendars for this Saturday, November 20 for the Chicago-based Cello and Violin Duo, Anita and Julian Graef! They will be performing works that span every era and genre, from the Baroque period to the 21st century. The duo have a combined history of playing with groups such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the 1901 Arts Club based in London.
