A quick-ish update of the second floor progress.*
Backdrop walls for the upper level were painted yesterday (Sunday) and we are starting to get organized. The AC is working again and the building is really coming together. Tim and contractors have been hard at work doing the necessary things downstairs and it looks like the timeline for the window install is somewhere around the end of August. I am so impatient for this, but it will be worth the wait.

*I have to reiterate certain things so the city doesn't lose their minds, so bear with me 😆
We've been busy!
-Upstairs demo has been finished and cleaned up.
-new backdrop walls have been installed (these are purely cosmetic and not structural).
-Bricks were sanded (this was a huge mess and Tim is looking into a better way to do this for the lower level).
- Our favorite HVAC company came to give us a quote on a few things (Thanks, Martens!)
- Dressing room was painted and Tim installed the LVP.
-Booked 4 new consults for seniors and extended family sessions
-pre-signed closing paperwork for the old studio
-working on getting insurance for the new quadplex we are purchasing next week.
-started cleaning and doing dust removal on literally everything upstairs.
-loaded the covered trailer a couple of times to move the old studio into the new studio. I thought I was a minimalist....but I was wrong. 🤣

Jumping on this fun trend as summer heats up and new inquiries are coming in!
We have been super busy with our new studio renovation, but I am still open and operating for sessions right now. Our last day owning the old building is June 29th and we are so excited to be handing it over to the new owners. The new building is in a state of dust right now, but this week, our focus is to clean out the remaining debris and get everything clean and sparkling. The lower floor will be under construction until the end of July, but the upstairs will be ready for clients shortly. Windows will be installed sometime in August. Unfortunately, with windows that size, it takes some time for them to come in.
Tim is quite the tazmanian devil when it comes to demo. He has been working long hours tearing out the old plaster so we can clean, finish and coat the brick walls, fix and touch up the tin ceiling, create large, 20 foot painted backdrops and all of the other tasks that come with restoring an old building.
Please be sure to stay tuned...we plan to do an open house when it is all finished, along with booking incentives, giveaways and snacks. Snacks are my favorite. :p
Photographers, we still have one opening for the upper space, which will be available to start renting in August. We have a website in the works for hourly bookings too.
