This week, for the first time, I weighed the cost of my usual longer trip to Trader Joe's (thank you, off-the-charts gas prices) against the savings from their relatively lower food prices. I opted for a quicker trip to a nearby store for slightly higher-priced ingredients.
Regardless, I am also well-equipped for cooking without frequent trips to the store.Here are a few elements of my strategy to cook more while shopping less.
