Before and after from all of the work that was done at our event! JUST INCREDIBLE WORK!

Yesterday, something incredible happened. 🌿🤍

What started as a dream became action.

What started as conversations became community.

What started as an overgrown piece of land became a place filled with hope, hard work, laughter, healing, music, stories, and purpose.

Throughout the day, approximately 35–40 community members showed up, rolled up their sleeves, and got to work. Families came. Children played. Stories were shared. Music filled the air. Artists created. Strangers became friends.

And together, we accomplished more than I ever imagined possible.

🚜 With the help of C & L Equipment and Services, we cleared and transformed two major areas of the property that had been overtaken by 4–6 foot invasive growth and brush.

🚛 With the support of Black Dog Roofing, over 14,000 pounds of trash were removed from the property.

🏡 The entire barn was cleaned, organized, and given new life.

🌿 The three major work stations we prioritized for this event are now COMPLETE.

COMPLETE.

I heard you.

I listened.

And every conversation reminded me exactly why The Growing Place exists.

The stories shared yesterday reinforced something I have always known:

Our communities need safe places.

They need connection.

They need belonging.

They need trauma-informed spaces where healing can happen. 🤍

There are a few people I would be remiss not to recognize.

To my board members, Ashley Jolly and Michael Radonski—

Thank you.

Thank you for your guidance, your wisdom, your support, and for creating safe spaces for people long before The Growing Place ever existed. Thank you for believing in this dream and helping me carry it forward when it felt too big to hold alone.

To my husband, Tyler Jenkins—Board President, Co-Founder, and my partner in all of this—

Thank you doesn’t even begin to cover what I’ve witnessed from you over the last year.

Not only have you supported this vision, you’ve become a foundational part of it. You have challenged me to grow, helped me discover new ways to heal, and continuously push to love and show up for the people around us.

Your fingerprints are on every part of this dream. 🖤

And to Christopher Boren—my brother and Operations Manager of The Growing Place—

You are the backbone.

Your strength, work ethic, heart, and commitment to recovery inspire me daily. You show up when things are hard. You do the work that often goes unseen. This dream would not be alive without you.

As I sit here reflecting on yesterday, I can’t help but think:

Look at the people who believe in this.

Wow.

What an incredible gift that is. 🖤🌿

This morning, I sit here with tears in my eyes and gratitude in my heart.

Not because of what was accomplished on the land.

But because of what was accomplished between people.

Yesterday wasn’t about trails.

It wasn’t about equipment.

It wasn’t about a barn.

It was about community choosing to show up for one another. 🤝

And that is something I will never forget.

To everyone who believed in this vision before they could see it…

You didn’t just help clean up a property.

You helped build the foundation of something that will serve others for years to come.
