22 Law Enforcement officers successfully completed SFST Training in Bay St. Louis this week, just in time for Independence Day weekend! Great job to all who attended and kudos to you all on a 95.63% class average on the final exam! 

We are now taking applications for our 2026 SFST Instructor School! Instructor School 2026 is tentatively set for July 13-17, 2026 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hattiesburg, MS. Applicants MUST have approval to submit the application by a department official signifying that if accepted, you will be allowed to attend AND submit two reports where SFST was administered for review. Applications are due back to Director Dillion Cates no later than Friday, June 19th, 2026 at 5p.m.
Current SFST Instructors in good standing who have been an Instructor for a minimum of 3 years who wish to be considered for Master Instructor should have a current Master Instructor recommend them by June 19. A vote will be held and the top two will be invited, all recommended will be notified whether they are invited or not.
