Fuzzberta & Friends

Our little Shnoopybaby died at 3:30am Friday morning. I stayed up all night trying to keep him comfortable.⁣

Our last night together, even as he was dying, was as wonderful and full of love as every second I ever had with him. I lay on the couch and held him next to me, tucked in under my heating blanket. He was uncomfortable but still strong then, and shnuggled against my face, pressing himshelf against me. Loving me. ⁣
⁣
Around 3am he started acting like he wanted something. I tried to syringe him water, but he'd gotten bad so quickly that I woke the other human up and we decided to take him to the emergency vet to be put to sleep. ⁣

We decided to let his family say goodbye, and gave him a goodbye party with parsley, his favorite food. Jelly Baby cleaned his face and Billy Blob nuzzled his butt, and Shnoopy even tried to shteal his sister's food even though he couldn't eat or walk by then, because that's what they always did. And everyone shmooshed him, especially Booboo Babby Bear. It turns out that's what Shnoopy wanted.⁣

Right after we put everyone back, just as we were about to head out the door for the emergency vet... Shnoopy died in our arms. I'm still so sad and blindsided by how quickly it happened, but I feel better knowing we'd given him a perfect goodbye 💔🌈🐻

Shnoopy is very sick right now. Please send prayers and good thoughts his way ♥️ Also, look what a best boy he is, even while being syringe-fed! ⁣

He's been dealing with bloat and gut issues for the past two weeks. It took a turn for the worse and we took him to the emergency vet today. He's going in to our exotics vet tomorrow morning. His tums is very big and tight with fluid, and he seems very uncomfortable. ⁣

We've been doing our best, trying everything—dental, x-ray, syringe-feeding, simethicone, probiotics, fluids, Reglan, tummy massages. Please send good vibes, we could really use them ♥️♥️♥️
