Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s Substance Use Disorder services are wide ranging. In a typical year, our Recovery Community Center, Turning Point, has nearly 25,000 client interactions.
Our residential programs rely on books like Alcoholics Anonymous and Recovery Dynamics. These texts as provided as part of treatment. There are other books that residents often use, but those are purchased individually by the client. Unfortunately, many of residents have no financial support from family or friends and simply can’t afford them.
One of the most popular books is The Life Recovery Bible. For many, residential treatment is effective because of the spiritual connection to others in the program and they often use this bible as a guide. They read alone or in small groups and they take the book with them when they leave to help keep them connected.
These bibles cost less than $25 and are available on Amazon. We are asking you to please consider purchasing one or more. Many people who choose to do this add an inspiration message inside the cover just to let the recipient know that someone out there cares .
