Providing Training opportunities in our county jails is just one of the ways that we support our communities with access to high wage, high demand jobs. Congratulations to this months McCracken County participants!

Beginning June 13, female inmates will have the opportunity to participate in an Electrical Fundamentals class designed to provide valuable technical knowledge and workforce skills.

Throughout this 40-hour program, participants will learn the fundamentals of AC/DC circuits, electrical safety practices, and hands-on skills such as circuit testing, troubleshooting, and circuit construction. The course is designed to prepare students for further education and career opportunities in the electrical field.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate from West Kentucky Community and Technical College. The program also provides a pathway for students to continue their electrical education at the college following their release.

This educational opportunity supports personal growth, skill development, and successful reentry by equipping participants with industry-relevant knowledge, practical skills, and valuable credentials. We are proud to continue offering programs that provide individuals with opportunities to build a better future and become productive members of our community.
