The everything God
I understand people want to call the Christian God father and refer to God as a male figure. If that is what you picture God as then I can not say you're wrong for thinking that way but let me give you something to chew on. When we think of this "God" as one specific thing or being then are we not limiting God? Are we not putting God in a box and keeping God from all of what God can be? I my self don't refer to God as he, heck I really don't like calling God "It". That in and of it self I'd limiting. I believe that we as spiritual creatures having a human experience should be open minded to the possibilities of who and what God is. When God speaks to Moses at the burning bush, God said to tell the Hebrew children the I AM sent him. God names itself I AM THAT I AM. The Hebrew names for God are Yawah and Jahova. In the hebrew these are compound words containing both male and female fragments. So think about this for a moment, all the religions in the world that have at least one all supreme god in them see their particular god differently from the other religions. How then can we then say that our religion and belief about who and what God is reign supreme over others? What about the religions that started before we have record of the Hebrews starting with Abraham? Or what about belief systems that started up half way around the known world at the time that dont have a "God" per se but refferance to a higher power that is something equivalent to that spiritualist would call energy, or Buddhist call Darma? With God calling itself "I AM THAT I AM" God is saying here that God is ALL. God is nature, God is in us, God is around us and through us. God is everything everywhere all the time in every place! We have to have a mind to see God for who and what God really is and stop putting God in a box and limiting the possibilities of God. I pray no ill will on no one. I didn't necessarily mean to preach. But I do pray that we can learn to have a softer heart toward God in a way that God can do wonderful and gracious things in this world that God , through us, can make this world a better place for generations to come. No, we aren't promised tomorrow, but we were never told that tomorrow will never come. So let's fallow the teachings of Jesus the Christ and seek to bring heaven on earth, standing for Justice, Mercy, Peace, and Love, for in these four truths Grace is found with Love being key.
Amen!
Thank you and with Love,
