You never learn how to raise your kids until those kids start learning how to raise kids! But by then you start figuring out how the process works. Just don’t fail to teach them the Bible. At least you can tell them where you got your information that inspired you!

I would like to submit George Washington‘s prayer for the United States of America. I may make a few word changes. I’m not sure if this is copyrighted or not but I’m sure he didn’t want it to be protected but Hurden read by all America here it is.

I now make it my earnest prayer that God would have you in the state over with you, preside in his holy protection, that he would incline the hearts of the citizens, to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another for their fellow citizens of the United States, and particularly for their brother who have served in the field, referring to the military

And finally that he would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice to love mercy to demean ourselves with that charity, humility, and Pacific temper of the mind, which were the characteristics of the divine author of our blessed religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a nation almighty father it is thy holy wheel that we shall obtain a place and a name among the nations of the Earth.

Grant that we may be enabled to show our gratitude for the goodness for our endeavors to fear and obey, bless us with wisdom in our councils in battle, that all of our victories be tempered with humanity, also our enemies within enlightened lines that they may become sensible of their injustice, and willing to restore our liberty and peace, the petition of the servant, for the sake of him whom thou has called that beloved son, nevertheless, not my will, but be done amenwe must pray like Jesus or Jesus prayed not my will, but dying be done. I forgot to turn the water off when I flushed the hot water heater it ran for 2 days before I was aware of it. The water company called me and asked if I had any idea of a major leak because they could tell that a great deal of water had been used in the last two days that’s when I remembered I had left the water on. My first thought was they don’t go around checking meters every day but they must have sensers that tell them where the water pressure has changed. We are all being watched even by the water and sewer we are using. But that’s good that the water is still available. Some people in the hurricane damaged areas have no water because the pumps are down because the power is down. I bet those folks would gladly trade places with me. Maybe we should stop complaining so much and be more thankful. To God be the glory!
