The latest of my women’s portrait series. This time a portrait of two female law enforcement officers, one from the Paducah Police Department and the other from the McCracken County Sheriff’s department. Dana Davie was the first African American female police officer inducted into the Paducah Police Department over 24 years ago. Her long-time partner, Melissa Dillon, now works for the Sheriff’s Department. Both are a testament to what women excel at and how they improve our communities.

My batik painting “Khora” will be part of an exhibit of artwork by an international group of artists representing The Batik Guild.
We are headed down to Naples, Florida to participate. The opening is this Saturday, May 5th. If you are in the area it would be wonderful to see you! This is sure to be a great show.
