I’ve heard a comment or two, that cleaning a pool “doesn’t take a rocket scientist”. And while that may be true, it does take more work and knowledge than people think. Balancing chemicals is not just about having a clean and clear pool. It is equally as important that the chemical readings be kept within range to protect and add longevity to the pool equipment. A pool maintained at high acidic levels will lead to corrosion and etching, while a pool too high in alkalinity will lead to scaling. Did you know that the salt in a salt water pool contributes to the acidity levels in a pool? Or that maintaining higher levels of calcium allows for lower levels of total alkalinity? Or that the temperature of the water plays a role in balancing? We do! We study the interaction of chemicals and the role they play with each other. We also utilize an app that allows us to be very precise in the chemicals added to a pool. There is no “guessing”. While the result has been crystal clear and beautiful pools, we are also confident that the equipment is being maintained properly as well.
