Boa tarde!

Terminei a minha participação no CCAC Men’s Golf Championship que se realizou no TPC Deer Run, uma prova de 54 buracos, 36 buracos ontem dia 23/4 e 18 buracos finais hoje dia 24/4.

Foi a minha última prova de golfe aqui nos Estados Unidos da América, pois termino o meu ciclo de 4 anos de formação universitária.
Não pensei que no último putt, as emoções me dominassem, mas passou um filme na minha cabeça no último putt, pois senti que foi um encerrar de um ciclo, que embora me tenha trazido para longe da família e namorada, foi produtivo, enriquecedor, ajudou-me a crescer e amadurecer, assim como me permitiu estudar, jogar golfe e conhecer outra realidade. Uma experiência de vida, que certamente me preparou melhor, para enfrentar o futuro.

Em relação ao torneio, continuei a lutar com as dores nos joelhos e lombar, algo que já está planeado ter acompanhamento médico assim que chegar a Portugal, o que não me permitiu estar no meu melhor. Mesmo assim, consegui terminar no top 10, no 7° lugar, com resultados de 75,76 e 79. O TPC Deer Run é um campo de excelência, que vou levar na memória.

Agora é tempo de terminar a última semana de aulas, para terminar a minha Licenciatura de Gestão e a minha especialização de Marketing e voltar a Portugal.

Termino um ciclo, onde o balanço do ponto de vista desportivo é muito positivo, pois tive oportunidade de jogar golfe em diferentes campos, conhecer muitos jogadores, pôr-me à prova em ambientes adversos, fora da minha zona de conforto, ter títulos de All-American, Freshman of the Year, jogar finais nacionais da NCCAA e levar títulos para a Trinity Christian College que não tinham sido alcançados na modalidade de golfe.

Tenho de deixar uma palavra especial ao atual coach da Trinity Christian college Tomaz Rodriguez, por todo o apoio que me deu.

Claro que todo este percurso foi mais fácil graças ao apoio da Lambda Golf,Golf Lake Balls by On the Green, do meu swing coach Nuno Campino/Nuno Campino, Trinity Christian College Athletics , Trinity Christian College e ao meu amigo Vin Thib.

I finished my participation in the CCAC Men’s Golf Championship, which took place at the TPC Deer Run, a 54-hole tournament, with 36 holes yesterday, April 23rd, and the final 18 holes today, April 24th.

It was my last golf tournament here in the United States, as I am finishing my 4-year university education cycle.

I didn't think that emotions would overwhelm me on the last putt, but a film played in my head on that last putt, as I felt it was the closing of a cycle that, although it took me away from my family and girlfriend, was productive, enriching, helped me grow and mature, and allowed me to study, play golf, and experience another reality. A life experience that certainly prepared me better to face the future.

Regarding the tournament, I continued to struggle with knee and lower back pain, something that is already planned for medical follow-up as soon as I arrive in Portugal, which prevented me from being at my best. Even so, I managed to finish in the top 10, in 7th place, with scores of 75, 76, and 79. TPC Deer Run is an excellent course, one I will cherish in my memory.

Now it's time to finish the last week of classes, to complete my Major in Business & Management and my Minor in Marketing, and return to Portugal.

I'm finishing a cycle where the overall assessment from a golf perspective is very positive, as I had the opportunity to play on different courses, meet many players, test myself in challenging environments outside my comfort zone, win All-American and Freshman of the Year titles, play in the NCAA national finals, and bring titles to Trinity Christian College that hadn't been achieved in golf before.

I have to give a special mention to the current golf coach at Trinity Christian College, Tomaz Rodriguez, for all the support he gave me.

Of course, this whole journey was made easier thanks to the support of Lambda Golf, Golf Lake Balls by On the Green, my swing coach Nuno Campino, Trinity Christian College Athletics, Trinity Christian College and my friend Vin Thib.

Participei ontem na Cal-Sag Golf Cup, um torneio em match-play que colocou frente a frente a Universidade Saint Xavier e a Trinity Christian College.

O torneio terminou empatado 2,5-2,5, sendo que venci o meu match com 6/4, ou seja venci 6up com 4 buracos por jogar. Foi a minha última participação neste evento anual, pois termino no próximo mês a minha licenciatura aqui nos EUA.

Tivemos um dia difícil, devido a chuva e frio, mas as condições eram iguais para todos.

Foi um excelente momento da equipa, com muita coesão e empenho de todos.

Agora vou-me preparar para os restantes torneios da Spring season, que se realizam no mês de Abril, para tentar fechar o melhor possível a minha passagem na Trinity Christian College.

Yesterday I participated in the Cal-Sag Golf Cup, a match-play tournament that pitted Saint Xavier University against Trinity Christian College.

The tournament ended in a 2.5-2.5 tie, with me winning my match 6/4, meaning I won 6-up with 4 holes to play. This was my last participation in this annual event, as I finish my degree here in the USA next month.

We had a difficult day due to the wind and cold, but the conditions were the same for everyone.

It was an excellent moment for the team, with great cohesion and commitment from everyone.

Now I will prepare for the other Spring season tournaments, which take place in April, to try and close my time at Trinity Christian College in the best possible way.

All that remains is for me to express my special thanks to Lambda Golf, Golf Lake Balls by On the Green, my swing coach Nuno Campino, Trinity Christian College Athletics, and Trinity coach Tomaz Rodriguez for the support they have given me.

Bom dia!

Disputei na passada 2a e 3a feira o NCCAA Regional Qualifier, que se realizou no Whisper Creek Golf Club. Com resultados de 75 (+3) e 79 (+7), terminei em 7° lugar geral.

Não tive a performance que esperava, pois estive os dois dias a lutar para conseguir pôr a bola em jogo. É golfe, acontece e por vezes mais do que gostaríamos. Agora resta continuar a trabalhar, treinar mais e preparar-me para os próximos torneios da Fall Season. Acima de tudo é apesar do resultado não ser o esperado e desejado, senti que dei tudo o que consegui, apesar de não estar a swingar como normalmente estou. Há que aceitar e seguir em frente.

Obrigado a todos pelas simpáticas mensagens que me enviem, pois motivam e estimulam a um empenho cada vez maior na busca dos meus objectivos.

Good morning!

I competed in the NCCAA Regional Qualifier at Whisper Creek Golf Club last Monday and Tuesday. With scores of 75 (+3) and 79 (+7), I finished 7th overall.

I didn't perform as well as I'd hoped, as I struggled to get the ball in play both days. That's golf, it happens, and sometimes more than we'd like. Now I just have to keep working, train harder, and prepare for the upcoming Fall Season tournaments.
Above all, even though the result wasn't what I expected or desired, I felt I gave it my all, even though I'm not swinging like I usually do. I have to accept it and move on.

Thank you all for the kind messages you send me, as they motivate and encourage me to strive even harder to achieve my goals.
