So for the GRAND OPENING of Little Mac Farmstand on June 6th, I’m thinking about opening up a limited amount of biscuit preorders 👀

These are the homemade, fluffy, buttery biscuits that everybody always begs me to make 😂

Pricing would be:

🐓 Farmstand Update — A Little Winter Fun Fact! ❄️

Hey friends! We wanted to share a quick update about our hens and egg availability over the next few weeks. As the weather cools off and the days get shorter, our girls naturally slow down their egg production. 🥚

Fun fact: Chickens need about 14–16 hours of daylight to lay regularly — so when winter rolls in and daylight hours drop, their bodies take it as a cue to rest and conserve energy. 🌤️

We’ve also had a few unexpected challenges lately — we lost some of our sweet hens to pesky raccoons 🦝 and recently moved the flock into their new coop. Between the seasonal changes and the stress of settling into a new home, our hens are taking a little break.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we give them time to rest and adjust. We’ll post as soon as our girls are back to their usual egg-laying routine! 💛

🌿 Important Update from the Egg Stand 🥚

I’ve gone back and forth on how to word this, but I want to be transparent and honest — the “pay what you can, take what you need” system for our eggs will be coming to an end.

Moving forward, eggs will be $5 a dozen.

We’ve had quite a bit of theft over the last couple of weeks, and as much as my heart has always wanted this to be a community-based stand built on trust… it’s become clear that not everyone values that the same way.

We pour a lot of time, love, and daily care into these chickens — from feeding and watering to cleaning and collecting. Feed isn’t free, and the effort that goes into keeping healthy, happy hens adds up.

I completely understand that times are tough — they are for everyone — but taking without paying, even a little, isn’t fair to those who do give generously and honestly.

I truly appreciate the continued support from those of you who show up with your cartons, pay faithfully, and help us keep this little homestead dream alive. It means the world to us. ❤️

We’ll continue to pour into this community — just with clearer boundaries so that we can sustain it long term. Thank you for understanding!
