A Troop 105 Flag Day tradition

Calling all veterans for the Schiller Park Wall of Honor.

To honor the sacrifice and service of our residents who have served in
the United States military, the Village of Schiller Park enshrines the names of our veterans onto the Wall of Honor in Clock Tower Park.
A ceremony will take place during our annual Flag Day Celebration on June 14, 2025.

If you, or a family member on your behalf, would like to participate in this recognition of your service, applications are available at Village Hall, 9526 W. Irving Park Rd, (847) 678-2550, or the Historical Commission, 4835 Michigan Ave, (Door 3, Washington School), (847) 349-7838. Completed applications must be returned to Village Hall or the Historical Commission by May 1, 2025. There is no cost to the veteran or their family to participate in this event.

Keep outdoor activities and camping alive all 12 months of the year!!
Cold weather camping starts with temperatures below 50 degrees. In Chicago Area that is October through May, taking into consideration overnight temperatures.
You will use this information in your daily life living in Chicago. It is a game changer!
Our Train the Trainer program will provide you with the knowledge and materials to share knowledge and skills learned to conduct cold weather activities and camping within your units. Learn about Winter Travel, Sleep Systems, Equipment and Tents, Cooking and Nutrition, Snow Shoes, Cross Country Skiing and Outdoor Winter Games.
