Hello CCSMD No. 1 Residents,

It’s been a hot week, morning ‘til evening, so I hope you’ve been able to get out and enjoy the pool where it’s cool!

Next week is FOOD TRUCK WEDNESDAY! I have your favorite trucks (back by popular demand), Big Belly Brother’s BBQ and Vibe Refreshments. Make it a date between 5-8 pm to come get dinner and a fun drink! You know the message… it takes all of you to keep the trucks coming so I’ll plan to see you then.

The community carnival is Saturday, August 8th from 4-7 pm. This is free for Creekside residents (no guests please) and includes Frank’s BBQ, music, inflatables, a dunk tank, face painting, crafts, cookie back off contest and more. To make it all happen, it takes a village, so we ask residents to volunteer 30 minutes of your time to help at some of the busier stations. A signup sheet for where help is needed will be available at the front desk starting Saturday, July 25th. Please consider giving a little of your time to support a great neighborhood event. Also, if your teen needs volunteer hours, we can help with those.

We’re looking forward to Saturday and the events celebrating the 4th of July holiday here at the Rec! Check your July newsletter or swing by the center to get a schedule of the activities. Hope to see you here for all the fun.

Tennis/pickleball court repairs should be finished and courts available for use on July 4th.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, July 8th from 5-8 pm and come get dinner and/or treats as it’s FOOD TRUCK WEDNESDAY. Philly on the Go and Rebel Cookie Dough are scheduled. Make it a date to attend.

Youth Night Pool Party:

Our next outdoor pool party for 6th-8th graders will be Friday, July 17th from 6:30-8:30 pm. RSVP
required by July 15th @ 9:00 pm. We require a minimum of 15 kids to hold the event! Music will
be provided and there will be prizes for games, so be sure to come. Youth night is open to all ‘to be’
6th-8th graders. Cost is $7/person (includes pizza, soda, snacks and prizes). Payment is by credit
card only. Sign up and payment (in advance) by calling 303-840-1241. Each resident is allowed up to
2 non-resident friends. Parents, if you are new to having your child attend this event, it is supervised
by MaryBeth, Katie and lifeguard staff It begins promptly at 6:30 pm and ends at 8:30 pm. The staff
supervise only during that time so please make a note of it. Also, be sure your child (and friends,
if necessary) has a signed note from you if you are NOT planning to pick them up at 8:30 pm and
are allowing them to leave the rec center at that time without adult supervision (i.e., riding bikes,
walking, etc.).
