The Cleveland Clinic Children's PEERS® Social Skills Groups: Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills is gauging interest for its two groups - Adolescents and Young Adults.

Attendees will learn about:
• Developing and maintaining friendships
• Conversational skills
• Entering and exiting conversations
• Appropriate use of humor
• Electronic communication
• Dating Skills
• Organizing get-togethers
• Handling direct and indirect bullying
• Handling disagreements
• Handling peer pressure
PEERS is an evidence-based social skills intervention designed for individuals interested in forming and maintaining friendships and/or developing romantic relationships.
Young adults are taught social skills through didactic lessons and role-play demonstrations, and practice these skills during group socialization activities. Social coaches (parents or caregivers) will also be taught how to assist their loved one in making and keeping friends and/or dating, which will take place within the 90-minute time frame.

Wood County Board of DD is excited to share that, as part of their Tech Hub Expansion grant, they have partnered with Kan Du Group to create a 3D printing program!
Individuals served by all county boards of DD in Ohio can request 3D printed items and they will be shipped directly to them.
Limit of 2 for free. Subject to availability.

In partnership with College Now, the Cuyahoga DD scholarship is open for the Cleveland State University (CSU) Reciprocal Inclusive Student Experience (RISE) Program.
Eligible students receive services from Cuyahoga DD and plan to enroll in the Cleveland State University RISE Program for the first time.
RISE is a two to four-year transition certificate program that empowers students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to continue their post-secondary education.
