Just saw this - wondering why we are so passionate and mission-driven? This is key to what we do and why you should join us!!!! Proud of our organization!!! "NABIP CEO Jessica Brooks Woods CEO, MPM, PHR was a guest speaker today at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) 2023 Fall National Meeting in Orlando, FL. Jessica spoke about healthcare costs across the entirety of our healthcare system. From the impact of rising healthcare costs on the ability to offer quality health plans to employers and individuals, to the true cost individuals pay when they utilize their health insurance by seeing a doctor.
She also discussed the crisis of Americans who are underinsured, who have insurance but are unable to use it and the impact it has on health outcomes, especially among people of of color.

The road to Benzinga was a blast- only topped by itself! Fantastic conference, amazing people and opportunities - and great fun!

The number one question asked of me was why is medicinal cannabis not covered by insurance- so over the next few days I will be sending out the article I wrote in 2018 as nothing has changed since then!
