President

Brittany Gerben
My name is Brittany Gerben. I'm the mom to a 3rd grader here at RBES. I am new to PTA but eagerly excited to get more involved and strengthen our small community while making things extra fun for our Littles. I grew up in Pasadena and have been a resident of Riviera Beach for 13 years. I bring with me 5 years of event planning. I have organized multiple large scale events as a collateral duty at my job working for the United States Coast Guard. Events range from fundraising, community service, holiday parties, awareness walks, promotions and retirements and family gatherings. For fun my daughter McKenna and I love to travel. We are always down to take a day trip to try a new ice cream or food spot. We are also avid Orioles fans and spend many nights at the yard!

Alyssa Pavignano
Hi, I'm Alyssa Pavignano! For the past 9 years, I've been proud to call this community home. Growing up, my family spent countless hours here with our family. Also, as a 1st grade teacher in Anne Arundel County, I have partnered with many organizations throughout the community. I'm grateful to give back to the place that shaped me. My journey with children began at Grannie Annies daycare as one of their kiddos, where I later worked for 5 rewarding years, and where my own daughter, Maddie, then attended for 2 years. My passion for the future of children is what drives me every day. Maddie and I love immersing ourselves in school and community events, from park clean-ups to volunteering opportunities. As a dedicated PTA member at RBES, I've served as secretary and president, working alongside fellow board members to plan and execute memorable events. As a committee chair, I have run events like paint nights, teacher appreciation week, mother-son events, and fundraisers. I would love to stay on the PTA Board to help keep consistency and to carry out the RBES traditions. Consistency is key and I look forward to new ideas and a fresh new school year!

Jen Greenwaldt
I'm Jen Greenwaldt, and have been a part of the Riviera Beach community for about 11 years. I currently have a 4th grader and a Kindergartener attending RBES. I'm a Pasadena native and a graduate from Chesapeake High School. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Stevenson University. I've been working for the U.S. Government for about 18+ years wearing many hats, with my ultimate favorite currently serving as an Academic Liaison for Cybersecurity at the elementary-level, a new role that has grown into a true passion. My family is my world and in my spare time I love to take family trip adventures, reading mystery stories, watching movies, and just being outdoors. Being a part of the PTA in a leadership position would mean the world to me as I believe all students should have opportunities for growth through education and social activities. As Vice President, I would dedicate time to collaborating with the PTA committee to ensure and contribute to the best opportunities for students and overall positivity at RBES. I've had no formal involvement in the PTA except briefly about 3 years ago (during the COVID timeframe) and by supporting PTA sponsored activities when/where possible.

Jaime Gaither
I am Jaime Gaither, a current SAHM with a toddler, and a former teacher. My oldest daughter is going into 1st grade. I love to volunteer in the school and help out with events whenever I can! I was in the PTA last year and would love to be more involved now that my youngest is entering pre-school.

Krista Appleman- I am Krista Appleman and I am a mom of a future first grader at RBES.
My family has been members of the Riviera Beach community for over 50 years - from my great-grandparents now to my own family - and we have
continuously been involved in the community and at the school. I graduated from Northeast HS, the University of Maryland, and most
recently got my MBA in Finance. I work as a business manager for multi-billion-dollar contracts in my day-to-day job, so I do finance (recognizing revenue, paying bills, and keeping the financial
statements updated) almost in my sleep. I volunteer at the school often and only look forward to helping out in any way that I can to make it a better place for students and teachers alike!
