If you are in the area, here are a few wonderful places to visit in Paso Robles that we discovered today! First, The Black Market Cheese Company. We had a tour of the goats and sheep. Their lama helps protect the herds! Then a sampling of their fresh delicious cheeses made by the nicest couple. In the most beautiful patio and dining room with chandeliers!
Then on to the Sierra Honey Farm! the next stop was the Hambly Lavender Farm where you can pick your own bouquet and visit their shop of everything made with lavender. Salves, room sprays, essential oil, gelato, goat soap and other great products made from their lavenders! Ever had lavender syrup in your lemonade? I love their soaps! We learned so much visiting these farmers and shepherds and appreciated sharing their knowledge in their specialties.

I shelled about only 15 lbs of walnuts, down from the 30+ I usually do. Saving some for baking throughout the year but also made glazed walnuts for my friends and relatives! Yes they have sugar and walnuts were sprayed for spiders inside of them, so not organic!
