As the American Academy of Pediatrics indicates, the vaccine is more 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 if it is given 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘳 because the immune system of preteens produces more antibodies.
