Anyone who has had to wait in line at a pharmacy to pick up a prescription, or wait for a prescription that turns out not to be available yet, knows it can be frustrating, especially if they're not feeling well.

Wait times at independent pharmacies tend to be shorter than those at national brands. Consumer Reports found that only 3% of patients waited "a long time" for service at local pharmacies, while 18% did so at chain pharmacies. Spending less time in line can mean more time to rest, take care of sick relatives, or simply do what you want!
