Direct Fuel

We're about to get our 1st taste of sub zero weather. Don't keep your forced hot water heating systems at a low temperature. If those circulators don't go on frequently, any heat pipes in an outside wall could freeze. I would recommend keeping thermostat at at least 62 degrees.
Same goes for any water pipes not properly insulated that could be on an outside wall. If you've had problems with a particular plumbing fixture in the past, don't be afraid to let the hot and cold water to that fixture trickle out over night.
