What is DHA anyways? ➑️ DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that serves as a primary structural component in the phospholipids of our nervous system and retina.

Often found in fatty fish like salmon, pregnant and breastfeeding women would have to eat a serving of fatty fish (low mercury fish please!) everyday to meet their DHA requirement for their baby.

Some (but very few) prenatals have DHA added, so you may need to supplement separately to equal a minimum of 300mg. My personal favorite is due to how they ensure low mercury fish are harvested for their fish oil for DHA and Vitamin D!
