FROM THE DESK OF THE APOSTLE:
The Republican Party and the Democratic Party are not the measure of Christian values. The people of God are called to follow Jesus Christ, not to place their trust in any political party. Scripture calls us to justice, mercy, truth, humility, righteousness, and love, and no earthly party can fully embody the kingdom of God. Our allegiance belongs first to the Lord, and our standard is the Word of God, not party doctrine or political allegiance.

FROM THE DESK OF THE APOSTLE:
There Is Purpose in Our Crushing
There is a divine purpose in our crushing. What feels like pressure, pain, and breaking is often the hand of God shaping, refining, and preparing us for greater. Crushing is not the end—it is the process that releases what is hidden within us. Just as grapes must be crushed to produce wine and olives pressed to yield oil, so must we endure seasons that press us beyond comfort to bring forth purpose, anointing, and power.
The Word of God reminds us in Isaiah 53:5, “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities…”—even Christ endured crushing, and through that crushing came our healing. Likewise, 2 Corinthians 4:8–9 declares, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.”
Our crushing strips away pride, exposes our dependence on God, and deepens our faith. It teaches us endurance, builds our character, and aligns us with His will. As James 1:2–4 says, “Count it all joy… when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”
In the crushing, God is not destroying us—He is developing us. Psalm 34:18 assures us, “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.” He is closest when we feel most broken. He is removing what cannot go where He is taking us and making room for what must be revealed.
What we survive becomes what we carry. What breaks us becomes what blesses others. The crushing produces oil—oil for healing, oil for anointing, oil that flows not just for us, but through us. As Romans 8:28 reminds us, “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”
So we do not despise the crushing. We embrace it, knowing that after the pressure comes the pouring, after the breaking comes the blessing, and after the crushing comes the glory. 1 Peter 5:10 declares, “After that ye have suffered a while, [God] will make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
