The Wildhorse Foundation awards over $1.5 million annually to projects in our giving area.

The Salvation Army Pendleton serves hot meals seven days a week to those in need in the Pendleton community.

Wildhorse Foundation recently awarded a $25,000 grant that will be directed towards the food, gas, and supplies needed to continue serving around 150 meals each day. As food costs rise, many of our most vulnerable neighbors rely on programs like this for consistent, nourishing meals.

We’re grateful to the staff, volunteers, and supporters who make this important work possible. πŸ™

The Wildhorse Foundation is excited to be contributing $10,000 towards the new Pendleton Community Garden Project!

The grant will be used for infrastructure costs (including items like raised beds, fencing, soil, and tools) and educational programing πŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎπŸ₯• The garden is being developed at 1020 SW 25th St, a city-owned lot β€” and planting will begin in 2026.

Umatilla County Master Gardeners Association (OSU Extension - Umatilla County), Umatilla County Public Health, and City of Pendleton are partnering on this project β€” which will have plots available for rent, a children's learning garden, community gathering spaces, a seed library, and more.

We can't wait to see this project come to life 🌱 Want to learn more and support the project? Sign up for their monthly newsletter here: http://bit.ly/4asYAc4
