🔥 BIG NEWS for Dive Time Watch Reviews 🔥
I’m proud to officially announce that I’ve partnered with BluShark Straps!
This is a perfect fit for the channel. If you’ve been watching, you already know I don’t just talk about watches… I actually take them into the water. And that means straps matter just as much as the watch itself.
BluShark is now going to be part of that journey.
Their military-style straps are built tough, comfortable, and ready for real-world use—whether that’s diving in the Gulf, out on the boat, or just everyday wear. I’ve already been rocking their straps, and the quality speaks for itself.

This is just the beginning. Let’s go!
And remember… it’s not about the cost of your watch. It’s about the adventures and memories you make with it.

Healthy fear. It exists.
On Sunday, I was diving at Park West near Pensacola Beach. My experience there is still limited. Conditions were far from ideal. Overcast skies. Murky water. Cold. Windy. Heavy current. Visibility was about 2 feet.
I was tasked with swimming out to the far pylon and setting the dive flag. The plan was to drop to the bottom and tie off. Well, that did not happen. I was underweighted and too buoyant, so I struggled. I was swimming alone in a spot I still do not know well. All I could see as I approached were kelp beds. I was nervous. In my head, I kept picturing a bull shark appearing out of nowhere and me not being ready for it.
I ended up tying off on the surface and getting back to my group. I added weight and continued the dive with the class. Conditions never really improved, but we got through the day. Still, for the first time in a long time, I was honestly scared of the unknown.
And that is okay.
I stayed safe, did the job, and finished the mission.
When I step out on the mats and roll with new students I am unfamiliar with, there is a certain level of anxiety and uncertainty too. Especially with black belts. Those guys are the sharks in the water. They will meet your energy, and if needed, exceed it just to remind you exactly where you are. And sometimes it is a blue belt or purple belt with a few tricks up their sleeve. Again, you submit to the technique.
That is healthy fear.
Every time I enter a roll, there is that awareness. More than fear, it is respect for the art. Knowing that even with years of experience, somebody can still come along and humble you. That is healthy. It keeps your mind sharp. It keeps you searching for knowledge.
Am I fast enough? Strong enough? Did I use the right technique? Did I zig when I should have zagged? Man, I know what I should have done. Maybe next time.
There is healthy fear in life.
We learn from it.
We grow from it.
Fear of the unknown.
New jobs.
New relationships.
New chapters.
New challenges.
Dig deep. Discover new things about yourself. Achieve great things because you kept learning and refused to quit on yourself.
Fear can make you grow, if you let it.

200M water resistance sounds impressive, but most people misunderstand what it actually means.
Just dropped a video breaking it down!

We are officially kicking off diving season 2026 this weekend and it’s about to get REAL!
Saturday I’ll be out at Morrison Springs putting in work.
Sunday we’re hitting Park West off Pensacola Beach and getting after it in the Gulf.
Then next week… we level up.
I’ll be aboard the Six Shooter Dive Charter, shadowing Divemasters and instructors, learning how the pros operate, getting dialed in, and stacking serious bottom time.
This isn’t just diving, this is the next chapter.
More experience. More knowledge. More time underwater.
And you already know what that means…
Dive Time Watch Reviews content is about to go CRAZY!
Real dives. Real testing. Real conditions.
No desk diving over here.
Life is about to get nuts… and I’m here for every second of it!
Let’s go! 🌊🔥

Today I got the Orient Ray II in the water at Park West near Pensacola Beach.
Visibility was not great. Lots of silt and debris in the water. Honestly that made it a perfect test for the Ray II.
With gloves on I rotated the bezel with no issues. I never used a light to charge the lume either. Just natural sunlight coming down through the water.
The result surprised me.
The Ray II shined. It stayed clear and legible the whole dive. Even pushing through the silt I could still read it without a problem. On the orange elastic NATO strap it was comfortable and secure the entire time.
Between the dive at Park West and some pool training earlier this week I captured some great footage and photos of this watch doing what it was built to do.
This week the full Orient Ray II dive review video drops on Dive Time Watch Reviews.
Real watches. Real dives. Real conditions.
Stay tuned.
