Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads, grandpas, and father figures out there! Today, we celebrate your strength, your patience, and the endless ways you lift up your families.

This photo sits on a shelf in my home. The little girl in it grew up to be me — and somewhere along the way, I learned what a portrait really does. It doesn't just capture an image. It keeps a piece of someone that would otherwise exist only in fading memory.

It's why I do what I do.
