🌟 Tribute Tuesday Honoring Ricky Rudd 🌟

This week, we proudly honor Ricky Rudd for his dedication to serving others through Loaves and Fishes here in Perry.

A retired U.S. Marine with 20 years, 5 months, and 9 days of service, Ricky began volunteering with Loaves and Fishes in 2022. What started as community service hours, as Ricky jokingly says, after "being a bad boy," quickly turned into a passion for helping others.

Today, Ricky serves as a Board Member, oversees the USDA room, supervises storage operations, records food donations, coordinates food pickups from Publix, and delivers food to those who are homebound or handicapped. Even after recently undergoing hip replacement surgery, he continues to show up and serve his community with unwavering commitment.

Ricky says, "Doing this gives me purpose in my life. Otherwise, I would be sitting doing nothing constructive. With this, I'm helping serve the community and those in need."

He is deeply grateful for how Loaves and Fishes and the people there helped him through a difficult season in life, and he now pays that kindness forward every day through service to others.
