Asking for help

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we're spotlighting one of the most powerful coping skills out there: asking for help.

At some point, every single one of us will need to ask for help and get support. The real skill is noticing when — whether that's feeling constantly down, pulling away from people you love, or carrying something that feels too heavy to hold alone.

Reaching out isn't a weakness. It's one of the bravest things you can do, and it's a sign that you believe you deserve better- because you do.

Talk to a parent, coach, teacher, or another adult you trust. And know that 988 (call or text) is always there as a tool for crisis or support.

Spring cleaning isn’t just for your home, it’s a great time to reset your finances too. Taking a fresh look at your budget and spending habits can help you save money, refocus your priorities, and stay on track with your financial goals.

Billings FFA will host an auction fundraiser on Sunday, April 26, at 1 p.m. at the Billings Community Center. The event will feature auction items including labor services, crafts, and baked goods, with all proceeds benefiting the FFA chapter. A dinner will also be available by donation for attendees. Community members who wish to donate items for the auction are encouraged to contact agriculture instructor Mr. McReynolds at [email protected]. The event is open to the public, and organizers encourage attendance in support of local FFA students and programs.
