Lucia loves to dance, enjoys writing, and hopes to one day become a writer. She consistently shows grit, determination, and creativity in all that she does. We are proud of the thoughtful young woman she has become and know she will continue to shine at Mother Seton Regional High School.

And this is what Lucy has to say:

What I will miss most about ACS is the “family feeling” I experienced here, as well as the time I got to spend with my peers both during and after school.

4. When you graduate, what do you want to be remembered for?
When I graduate, I want to be remembered for being a fun person, sharing memories with others, and being a loving friend.

5. When did you feel most proud to be an ACS student?

My principal, Mrs. Shumny, made my school experience better because she was always welcoming and always had a positive attitude toward me!

6. Who is your hero or someone you truly look up to?
My hero, and someone I truly look up to, is my mom because she has always inspired me to be the best version of myself. Watching her overcome so many challenges has taught me strength, self-dignity, and the importance of always being yourself.

7. What is an accomplishment you are most proud of?
An accomplishment I am most proud of is being inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.

8. What advice would you give your future self?
The advice I would give my future self is to never give up, keep pursuing your goals, and continue being yourself.

9. What do you hope to accomplish in high school, or what are some of your goals for the future?
In high school, God willing, I hope to achieve highest honors, which would result in receiving a yellow stole at graduation, becoming valedictorian, and getting accepted into Ivy League schools such as Harvard University and Princeton University.

10. What is something you learned outside the classroom at ACS?
Something I learned outside the classroom at ACS is to be grateful and appreciative. I realized that every day — especially after school — is an opportunity to love and serve others instead of complaining about having to stay.

11. What was your favorite grade level and why?
My favorite grade level was eighth grade because, although there were many challenges throughout the year, it was a year of becoming, bonding, and most importantly, fun.

12. What does success mean to you?
Success to me means never giving up, giving your best effort, and accepting your imperfections.

13. What moment made you feel the most confident?
A moment that made me feel the most confident was when my mother told me that I “have it all.”

14. What values are most important to you?
The values most important to me are honesty, charity, and confidence.

15. If your class had a theme song, what would it be?
If my class had a theme song, I think it would be the “Make It Shine” theme song from Victorious because our class shares the closeness and “make it shine” spirit of the characters.

16. If your life were a book, what would the title be?
If my life were a book, it would be called The Life of a Thinking Girl because I daydream a lot, and thinking is my “inner world.”

17. What is a hidden talent you have that most people don’t know about?
A hidden talent that most people don’t know about is that I can dance.

18. What is a quote that inspires you (and who said it)?
A quote that inspires me is: “Whatever you don’t fix in eighth grade, you’re going to take with you into high school,” by Mrs. Pickering.

19. If you could meet any person, living or dead, who would it be, and why?

ACS introduces: Road to Graduation: Class of 2026

Mr. Andrii Hrad, Jr. Honor Society, Academic Honors, Student Council President, Algebra I Honors St. Thomas Aquinas High School

Andrii Hrad has been a valued part of the Assumption Catholic School community since joining ACS in 3rd grade in 2019. Throughout his years here, Andrii has been actively involved in Drama, Service Club, 3D/STEM Club, and Student Council. Outside of ACS, he participates in Ukrainian Dance, Tae Kwon Do, and is an Altar Server at our Parish.

Andrii will always be remembered for his incredible performances in ACS plays, where he consistently amazed audiences with his talent and stage presence. He is also known as a voice of reason among his classmates — someone who encourages others to step up, work hard, and do their best. Andrii approaches everything he does with honesty, determination, and a strong work ethic. He gives 110% each and every day, and it clearly shows through his positive attitude, leadership, and outstanding academic success.

We are proud of the young man Andrii has become and know he has a bright future ahead at St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School.

Here is what Andrii has to say:
1. What is your favorite subject at school and why?
My favorite subject is definitely Math because it always came easy to me. Even when I was younger, both in Ukraine and America, Math was always my best subject since I was never really good at spelling.

2. What accomplishment or project are you most proud of from your time at ACS?
I am proud of the fact that I got into the Junior Honor Society and was also voted Student Council President.

3. What was your favorite class trip you’ve taken at ACS?
My favorite class trip was the Hersheypark trip. It was definitely one of the most fun trips we had. My friend and I got to hang out, and I also went on a big ride that I thought would not be that horrifying, but I got proved wrong very fast.

4. What is a challenge you overcame during your time in school?
I learned how to speak English, and now I can speak quite well. I don’t really have too much of an accent anymore, except my friends say I sound a little bit British.

5. What is something you learned outside the classroom at ACS?
Something I learned from my mom is to “live your dream and think about what you want, not what someone else wants.”

6. What was your favorite grade level and why?
7th grade because Ms. Perez made that year bright!

7. What kind of friend do you hope to be remembered as?
As a kind and helpful friend.

8. If you could describe your ACS experience in one word, what would it be?
The word would be “Dream.”

9. If you could relive one day at ACS, which would it be?
Definitely the day we went to Hershey Park. It was really fun!

10. About Yourself and Looking Forward
What career do you think you might want to pursue in the future?
I want to become an engineer.

11. Who is your hero or someone you truly look up to?
My mom and dad are truly my heroes.

12. Name one place you would like to visit and why?
I would like to visit Tokyo, specifically Shibuya, because I have heard a lot about that place and seen the beautiful sights.

13. What is an accomplishment you are most proud of?
Earning my place in the Junior Honor Society.

14. What do you hope to accomplish in high school, or what are some of your goals for the future?
I hope to get into the National Honor Society in High School. I have a lot of goals.
What are three words that describe you?
Kind, helpful, artistic.

15. What is something new you want to try in high school?
I want to try playing school sports like basketball, lacrosse, and baseball.

16. What does success mean to you?
Being successful means accomplishing my dreams.

17. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself creating robots and inventions that will make the world a better place.

18. What is one goal you have for the next year?
To keep getting good grades.

19. What’s the silliest thing you’ve ever done, or what’s your favorite corny joke?
The silliest thing this year was when Nicholas and I were making a chair for the nurse’s office. When we went to bring it there, I pushed Nicholas while he was sitting in the chair, and then Ms. Perez saw us and started laughing.
