I'm always inspired by design women who share my entrepreneurial spirit and design aesthetic.

I've just stumbled upon the most beautiful shop that is the west coast equivalent to what my beloved Powell Home looked and felt like.

I miss those days, my customers and the design projects that inspired us to try new things. I miss the bespoke vendors who provided the highest and best quality products for the best value. I miss being surrounded by beautiful and colorful fabrics, draperies and pillows. And I miss the process of designing a project at the big table where we would all gather and provide input.

I still do all of those awesome things - but now I do it from the comfort of my home. Business is great and I'm grateful for my clients and referrals. I don't miss the stress and challenges of keeping a high-end design shop open, but I have so much respect and admiration for those who continue to do well.
