2023 Pewaukee Tri

Athlete safety is always our #1 priority at Break Through Events, we have closely been monitoring the water quality at Pewaukee Lake Beach all week long and have decided that we will change the race format to a Duathlon for both the Kids race (7/15) and the Adult race (7/16).

I spoke with the Park and Rec department this morning and have concluded that we do not have enough supporting data to safely send athletes into the water. The tests all week up to the 7/13 sample had been significantly in the red zone at 2200+ parts per unit for E.Coli. We understand the test from 7/13 came back reduced and the beach is now marked as “Swim at your own risk.” Because we only have one confirmed test to support a still elevated but swim at your own risk level we do not feel it would be appropriate of us to send athletes in the water. There for we are going to stick with our plan to host the event as a Duathlon.

We are seeking event volunteers for the Pewaukee Triathlon on July 16th, 2023! If you are able to help in race day please email [email protected]

Participants, if your family members or friends are willing to help out during the event we could really use them! Does not need to be the whole event but even an hour of time helps a ton.
