Whimsical Creative Designs

I recently painted a veneer dresser - I put primer on it first then painted with diy chalk paint that I mixed myself. After that I used wax but the color was to stark a gray and I wanted some brown tones to it. So I put on Rustoleum aged glaze on top of the wax .I'm thinking I did things backwards but I really did not want my chalk paint to absorb that dark of a glaze . Anyway how many coats of glaze should I put on and then should I put another coat of wax on that or leave it alone ?
