Under The Flag

My name is Vivi. I'm 52 years old. I run a medical practice and a hydrotherapy wellness clinic. I'm a former teacher.
My family immigrated from Israel after the Yom Kippur war when I was five years old. I am an Israeli American.
Israel is my love, my friend, part of my very core.
My parents belong to the 1948 generation of Israeli pioneers.
My parents are both Holocaust survivors each with their own harrowing story. My mom came to Israel on the Exodus ship. My dad came to Israel on the Birya ship. I'm astounded by what he remembers about his Palmach unit during the War of Independence.
Israel is a spiritual, physical, emotional connection that is beyond anything I can ever express.
When I'm walking through the streets of Jerusalem I see the crossroad of the world .I see Christians, Jews , Muslims, people bustling from every corner.
It's a shame that the rest of the world doesn't always see that. That is why I attended the rally with my husband, sister and son.
