Maltster United Malt's (ASX: UMG) FY22 first half revenue grew 11% to A$652 million, driven by increased customer demand in the countries' home markets, combined with higher barley prices. This growth was partially offset by the impact of the Canadian drought which affected barley quality, supply chain disruptions and higher customer input costs.

Formosa Plastics intends to spend $6.1 billion on a new plant in the U.S.：In order to stabilize the material supply and enhance the competitiveness of polyethylene (PE), Formosa Plastics plans to invest US$207 million (NT$6.1 billion) in a new 100,000-tonne-per-year 1-hexene plant at its Convoy site in Texas, USA.
Upon completion, 63,000 tons will be used for internal use and 37,000 tons will be exported to the international market.
