but now more than ever, it’s time to speak up. It’s Your busy season , people of color be ware of certain tactics & try and support your own people first who own the bricks .

I’m offering my experience, my lessons, and yes ,the horror stories I learned from ,& still learning from so you don’t have to learn the hard way.

We are the majority.
BLACK & BROWN culture moves industries.

After 20+ years in hospitality and cultural promotion, I still see bad deals, unfair systems, and structures designed to overwork , short change & break third-party promoters and artists.

Hospitality veterans know:
when I’m in the building, business follows.

Don’t let my social media fool you , I came from years of sacrifice, mistakes, wins, and surviving systems that weren’t built for us to own anything . I move with art on the surface but my hospitality front and back office is top tier & I graduated from the school of hard knocks.

My goal moving forward:

-Help young and established cultural promoters succeed
-Help artists and organizers protect their value
-Help more of us own bricks in metropolitan spaces
-Support our own businesses intentionally

Just letting you know don’t let any fear or weird talk fool you , we are outside and very present in the event spaces .

I know the plays.
I know the clauses.
I know how they structure agreements.

They won’t tell you when culture is being extracted for corporate profit.
They won’t tell you how they leverage your own community against you.
They won’t explain the fine print.

But I will.

Know your worth.
Show your numbers.
Ask for respect ,or walk away.

Be great. Don’t settle.
