Our legislature can ensure freedom of movement for all people who live, work, and visit Pennsylvania by coming together and prioritizing transit in our budget.

It’s working people who make it possible to bring the World Cup to our city, buoyed by a transit system that takes visitors and residents alike wherever they need to go. Our people and our transit system are what allow us to prepare for the MLB All-Star festivities. Our people and our transit help millions more come to our city and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Yet today, on the date the budget was due, Senate Republicans decided to go home early.

Our people and our transit deserve real investment. It’s time to get back to work because Pennsylvanians deserve a government that shows up just like they do.
