With summer approaching, it's time for the class of 2026 to start considering SAT prep. And it's not too late for the Class of 2025 to start their test prep. Check out our helpful guide for when to prepare for the SAT!

The March SAT is in 5 days! This will be the first ever SAT proctored digitally across the nation. Over the past 8 weeks, Capstone students have been working hard to prepare for the new digital SAT. On top of all the hard work put in, I'm recommending students practice in their Bluebook app in the next few days.

It's 2024! That means the SAT is officially a digital test. Starting in March, College Board will proctor the SAT in a digital format. We created a short and informative video explaining the key elements of the new digital testing experience. Check it out and feel free to share.

With PSAT scores coming out this month, it's time for high school Juniors to start thinking about the SAT. In a test-optional world, it's worth considering the value of a taking (and preparing for) the SAT. Here are three reasons a strong SAT score is still extremely valuable in your college journey...

1. Boost your chances of getting into your dream school.
Even with test-optional policies, top schools reported 70-90% of admitted students submitted SAT or ACT scores last year. (Source: Common Data Set)

2. Broaden your college list
In senior year, students can compare their SAT score and GPA to averages at different universities to form a list of reach, target, and safety schools. A stronger SAT score gives you the opportunity to build a better college list.

3. Qualify for merit-based scholarships.
For many colleges, students can earn guaranteed scholarships when they submit a qualifying SAT score.

This time of year, our directors are busy hosting free practice tests at local schools, meeting at students' homes for free introductory tutoring sessions, and setting up our incredible winter courses starting in January. We're proud to offer resources and help to local families.
