Meet our newest Retro Pilates Apprentice Instructor, Tara!

Tara will be teaching discounted Apprentice drop-in Mat classes beginning this week! Catch her Monday 7,8,9am in May and select Wednesdays and Saturdays. Members can use their existing memberships/packages or supplement it by purchasing an Apprentice Drop-in for $28 available on the Retro Pilates app!

Learn a bit more about Tara below!

1. What first got you groovin’ into being a Pilates instructor? "I’ve always loved movement. I started with running, then got into lifting and yoga, but when I found Pilates, something really clicked. It made me feel strong, aligned, and connected in a completely different way. I realized how powerful mindful movement can be, not just physically but mentally too, and I wanted to help others experience that same feeling."

2. What’s your favorite Pilates move and why? "The Hundred, she’s iconic 💅 It wakes everything up, gets your core fired, and instantly puts you in that “I got this” mindset. When you’re locked in and breathing through it… that’s main character energy."

3. How do you unwind after a long day of teaching? "I’ll grab a coffee or tea depending on the time of day, catch up on messages, or just mindlessly scroll for a bit. It’s my way of decompressing and resetting before the next thing."

4. Favorite Retro playlist song right now? "Anything mid to late 90’s… that era does not miss. So many iconic artists, it just depends on the vibe that day."

5. What can people expect from your class? "A challenging but supportive class. I want you to feel pushed, but never overwhelmed. My goal is for you to walk out feeling stronger, taller, and genuinely good… like your best self.😊"
