The work we do is important, and so is making time for the activities and moments that help us feel grounded. Stepping away from technology and creating space for ourselves supports our wellbeing and allows us to return to our work with fresh energy.
Today, weβre sharing the ways some of our team disconnects and what helps each of us recharge outside of work.
What helps you disconnect and recharge outside of work? Weβd love to hear it in the comments!
Anjali ππ½ββοΈ: There is no shortcut to strength. Built Fitness has taught me that showing up consistently, especially when it is hard, changes you. Since October 2024, this space has helped me build strength, discipline, and a deeper belief in myself.
Stephanie ππ»ββοΈ: I love lap swimming because it is one of the few places where I can completely disconnect from distractions and be present in the moment. It gives me a sense of calm and focus that is hard to find anywhere else.
Shadiqua πͺπΎ: Going to the gym is one of my favorite ways to invest in myself. It helps me clear my mind, stay healthy, and become a stronger version of myself!
Maureen π: I love to read outside just before the sun sets. It always feels so calm at that time of day.

What makes a community truly connected? π
Transit-oriented development is about more than transportation. By creating walkable neighborhoods near public transit with access to housing, jobs, businesses, and services, communities can expand opportunity while reducing barriers to mobility. Research shows these developments can support economic growth, healthier lifestyles, and greater independence for residents of all ages.
As cities and regions think about the future, investments that connect people to opportunity will continue to play an important role in building more livable communities.
