Maverick has returned to its OG format!
Quietly at the beginning of this year we began to phase back in small format Maverick, while phasing out the “wedge format” cut from 5lb wheels.
We are excited to return to this standard and have opted to make it a 4oz round so it can be offered at a lower price point.
The beauty of these small rounds is that they offer a more intensely nuanced flavor profile + can age poifectly in their “micro cave” containers.
This also means that our large format Maverick Wheels found and mongered .cheese ‘s NYC location are now thin 2.5lb wheels that also have a more intense flavor profile than when they were 5lb wheels over the last couple of years.
