Meet Big One! 🤍🐾

Big One (formerly known as Colin) is one of four Persian cats who were abandoned overnight in the parking lot of a local animal welfare organization. We’ll probably never know exactly what happened, but three of the cats appeared to be around eight months old, while one larger male was with them. Our best guess is that they may have come from a breeder, with the larger cat possibly being their father—but the truth is anyone’s guess. We also assume that Little One was likely Big One’s sister, although we have no way of knowing that for certain 😢😢.

What we do know is that Big One has put the past behind him and is ready for the wonderful life he deserves. Now about 9–10 months old, Big One is a sweet, easygoing young cat with a calm personality. He absolutely adores people and is the kind of cat who is simply happy to be part of the family. While he enjoys the company of other cats, he isn’t dependent on having a feline companion. Early on, we believed he and Little One were deeply bonded, but as they settled into foster care it became clear that Little One simply loves everyone! Big One has shown that he’s perfectly content either with other friendly cats or as the only cat in the home.

Like many Persians, Big One will need a family committed to regular grooming and the extra care that comes with his adorable flat face. In return, you’ll get a handsome, affectionate companion who is as lovable as he is beautiful.

Big One is fully vetted (neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, combo tested negative, and microchipped) and is ready to start the next chapter of his life.

We’ve received quite a few applications for this adorable little girl, but none have been the right fit. Please read below to see if you might be able to provide the home that she is looking for:

🚨 Little One MUST be adopted with another young kitty or into a home that already has another young, playful cat. This is not negotiable. 🚨. Little One absolutely loves her feline friends. She wrestles, chases, pounces, cuddles, and plays from morning until night. She is basically the Energizer Bunny wrapped in a fluffy little Persian body! 😹 Taking her away from the companionship she loves so much simply isn’t something we’re willing to do.

She is also looking for a family that understands what it means to own a Persian. While they’re incredibly adorable, Persians are definitely not “low-maintenance” cats. Their sweet little smooshed faces often require extra care, their coats need regular (ideally daily) brushing to prevent painful mats, and they generally require more grooming and upkeep than your average kitty. We would strongly prefer an adopter with Persian experience, or someone who has done their homework and is truly prepared for the commitment.
