VOID VISION

I said I wouldn’t cry this morning but as I was packing my car to leave the East Coast, my Hispanic neighbor came outside to hand me a bouquet of roses and I burst into tears. I am crushed by 1000 thoughts and emotions.. so many layers. She didn’t know I was leaving. We spoke in Spanish and broken English and hugged and cried and I thought about all of the horrible raci$t unjust world around us.
Valentine’s Day to me will always be something beyond romantic love. For me it’s more about COMPASSION than passion.
I want to say so much more but my plane is departing..
Thank you SO much to my friends and community.. I love you all more than words can express.

...whilst going through all of my possessions, I found these old photo collages I had been playing with while working on the album art for Sub Rosa. Collaging and mixed media has always been one of my favorite ways to work. I like the way it allows for the subconscious mind to lead and the way random pieces and happy accidents guide you in a mysterious way to some truth that you don’t yet fully understand.. Thought I’d share
