The Philadelphia Orchestra

We are thrilled to announce that Sara Aldana has been appointed as the Orchestra’s new assistant conductor! Originally from Colombia and student of Principal Guest Conductor Marin Alsop, she will provide valuable assistance to Music and Artistic Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin and other guest conductors throughout the 2026–27 season. She will make her Philadelphia Orchestra debut in January 2027, leading the Orchestra in a program titled Wonderful Waltzes, featuring works by the Strauss family.
