The world’s richest person just got even richer.
Elon Musk has reached a historic milestone, becoming the first person ever to surpass a $400 billion net worth.
According to Bloomberg, Musk’s wealth surged by nearly $20 billion after a deal that boosted SpaceX’s valuation to $350 billion. The deal saw SpaceX and its investors purchasing up to $1.25 billion in insider shares.
In addition, Tesla shares closed at a record high on Wednesday, hitting $424.77 at market close. His wealth jumped by US$62.8 billion in a day.
