I started this brand around staying fit the fun and sexy way💅🏾 So when you come, expect to do just that. I’ve never had someone leave that didn’t enjoy themselves. Trust it’s definitely a unique and fun experience. We embrace our sexy and encourage each other. It’s a positive environment. Sometimes as women we forget how to be sexy especially for some women after giving birth. But when you are here, we embrace the stretch marks, extra weight, etc. We uplift each other and remind each other that we still got it.

From Basic To Burlesque
From Basic To Burlesque was founded by Kayla Shuler, The Burlesque Queen, on June 9th, 2017. She offered her very first burlesque class centered around "Staying Fit the Fun and Sexy Way". A burlesque fitness class for anyone who wants to work out but also be sexy and have fun while doing it.
Kayla has been training since the age of three and has a background in the following techniques: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Horton, and more. She was a dancer of 76ers, CAPA Dance Company and member of Howard University's Bisonette Dance Ensemble where she has performed in over many entertainment shows, basketball games and parades. Kayla has competed in several dance and pageant competitions where she has earned many trophies and titles. One of her most accomplished titles include Miss Black Pennsylvania USA 2015. In addition, Kayla graduated from the prestigious Howard University with her Bachelor of Business Administration degree. From a determined, captivating, exquisite little girl to now a passionate and driven woman, there is no limit to this artist.
The Burlesque Queen currently offers private and public classes at 7827 Stenton Ave., Philadelphia, PA, 19150. In addition, she is working to expand From Basic To Burlesque experience to other major cities and states as well.
From Basic To Burlesque classes are offered to adults 18 and older and does not require prior professional dance training. Again, its all about "Staying Fit the Fun and Sexy Way".
